Sun, 29 October 2006 REPOST: I inadvertently deleted this episode from the site so I am republishing it. This was originally posted on June 10, 2006. The Stations of the Cross can be used as a meditation for praying the Chaplet of the Divine Mercy. In this episode of the Divine Mercy Podcast, I discuss this meditation and talk about creating a separate Stations of the Cross recording. I also introduce the first E-mail segment of the Divine Mercy Podcast as I have finally received enough email to devote a segment of the show. Thanks to those who took the time to put "pen to paper" as it were and send your thoughts and prayers. Sat, 29 July 2006 August 2nd is the Franciscan feast of Our Lady of the Angels. In conjuction with this feast day is the Porziuncula Indulgence, which is a plenary indulgence that can release the recipient of all temporal punishment from sins committed from the day of baptism to the day the indulgence is received. Please listen to the requirements outlined to obtain this indulgence and tell every Catholic person you know about it so we may all take advantage of this blessing from Jesus Christ.

Mon, 17 July 2006 Each of us must realize that we continue to be the author's of Christ's Passion and Death. Jesus Christ died outside of time for all men - past, present and future - to have the choice to be able to enter the Kingdom of Heaven. In order to do this, Jesus Christ had to take upon Himself the death sentence each of us incurs by each and every sin we committ.
The sin we commit today is responsible for the agony Christ endured on the Cross. Mon, 3 July 2006 ![]() Updated 07/07/2006 I was notified today that the music portion of the show had a glaring flaw, like total silence. I had made a slight technical error when I published the podcast but that has been fixed and this should sound much better. Meditation before the Blessed Sacrament can be a wonderful experience. In this episode I will read to a meditation found online at the Eternal Father Eucharistic Adoration Chapel website. Please take the time to visit that site and to download a copy of the meditation for yourself. This is a .m4a "enhanced podcast" file that may not be compatible with mp3 players other than iPods. You can listen and view the images in iTunes as well. I am in the process of producing this podcast in a non-iTunes compatible podcasting program that will be capable of showing the images of the Stations of the Cross as you listen to the meditaions and prayers. Thu, 27 April 2006 Devotion to Divine Mercy calls us to "Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful."If you downloaded the first version of show #3 you probably immediately noticed the voice track was off. Sorry. I made one silly change right before I published and it moved the voice track over about 10 seconds. Who knew 10 seconds could be such a big deal? This should sound better. Comments[0] |
